Profile : Network Security Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead the execution of comprehensive deployment plans, including work planning, scheduling, metrics, training, pilots, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between deployment-related activities and project objectives.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills in SD-WAN, LAN segmentation, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls of different OEMs (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper SRX, Cisco Meraki), and Next Generation Firewall technologies.
- Design and implement security policies using Next Generation Firewall technologies to enhance network security.
- Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, data, and information using tools such as Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Seclore, Titus, and PAM (Beyond Trust).
- Configure IPsec VPN tunnels and SSL remote VPNs, and troubleshoot network issues or outages.
- Analyze network performance metrics and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Maintain the design of LAN/WAN including protocols and routing, and configure network devices (Cisco routers, switches) in coordination with system/network administrators during implementation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VA/PT) with internal and external audits.
- Configure and manage Network Management Systems (NMS).
- Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
- Prepare manuals, guides, or documents for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Harden firewall, router, switches, and load balancers to enhance security.
- Coordinate with vendors for network upgrades and solutions for new services.
- Managing multiple concurrent IT Infrastructure related projects
- Evaluating and implementing On Premise, Cloud and Virtualization options
- DC Built and End to End Migration Activities.
- Development and execution of cybersecurity remediation plans and technology
- Collaborates with areas across campus and with other IT teams
- Contributes to technical feasibility in development of strategic plans
- Gather functional business requirements
- Ensuring the transfer of functional and system implementation and operations knowledge from the Integrator / Vendor
- Setting up end to end DC Infrastructure.
- Required to attend the meetings and understand customer requirements and provide consultation for the products offered.
- Creating network design and architecture after getting requirements and discuss with Clients
- Better understanding of Infrastructure designing and have to be good at giving Demos or Proof of Concepts.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in network security implementation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in SD-WAN, LAN segmentation, Cisco switches, wireless technologies, firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper SRX, Cisco Meraki), and Next Generation Firewall technologies.
- Strong understanding of IPsec VPN, SSL remote VPN, and network protocols.
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security policy implementation.
- Advanced knowledge of Network Management Systems (NMS) and network monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to analyse network performance metrics.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.
